Christian History Before Power

This House of Learning invites us into the first three centuries of the church, before Christianity held cultural or political influence. Tracing the question “Who is Jesus?” from the apostles through the early church fathers and the Council of Nicaea, this session explores how belief in Christ was formed, challenged, and faithfully preserved in a hostile world. Through history, theology, and open discussion, we consider what it means to confess Jesus as both fully human and fully divine—and how the witness of the early church continues to shape who we are today.
